One Ok Rock Around The World Shounen Rar 320 Skin Should IWhat maps should I start with What skin should I use How does the scoring system work Its normally the same or very similar questions, and since Mania doesnt have nearly the amount of resources and tips available that Standard has, Im putting together this guide in hopes that it will help those looking to play osumania with getting started in the mode.
NOTE: I am far more experienced in 4K, if any other keymode players would like to help me add something to the guide that would assist players getting into that keymode, it would be much appreciated:) Grading System OsuMania, like the other modes, has a unique system of grading your scores. SS - 100 S - Over 95 A - Over 90 B - Over 80 C - Over 70 D - 70 or lower You can miss and still get an S, so in that sense this method of scoring is most similar to CTB out of the other modes. Another difference is that unlike Standard, Mania has 6 different scoring values. RainbowMax 300 - Highest possible value (NOTE: Gives 320 points) RegularNormal 300 - Doesnt take away from your accuracy, but is not the highest value 200Great - The Mania equivalent of a 100 in Standard 100Good - A middle ground between 200 and 50 (These are common when you misread a pattern) 50Bad - The Mania equivalent of a 50 in Standard, if you mash a pattern these will come up often MissBoo - Just what it sounds like, a miss. The Scoring System The first thing youll notice when starting osumania, is that the way you are scored is different. In osustandard, you are graded primarily off your combo, and with accuracy being a smaller factor, but still very important (no need to go into the exact scoring measures for that as this is a Mania guide). In Mania, combo is near irrelevant, and accuracy is leaps and bounds more important than it. That being said, combo is still a contributing factor into your final score (The combo number you have actually does not matter, and different players may have different combos through hold notes, which you are allowed to hold however long you choose, and give combo throughout the time your holding them) through the Bonus Score system. So why did I say that it is near irrelevant Well thats because you probably wont notice it. Bonus score is a reward for consistent accuracy, for every Max 300 or regular 300 you get, the multiplier goes up, for every hit 200 or lower, the multiplier goes down. If you miss, it is reset, and you have to build it back up again. This isnt something youll notice in regular gameplay, and you shouldnt worry about it too much when your just starting out, but its something to keep in mind. On top of all of this, your score is maxed out at 1,000,000. One Ok Rock Around The World Shounen Rar 320 Mods In ManiaMods As of this moment, no mods in Mania give a score bonus. I still feel as though they are important to discuss, as ScoreV2 plans to implement these with modifiers when it is fully implemented (you can test it out now in multiplayer). Well only be going over mods that do something different than their standard variations (Sudden Death, Perfect, No Fail, etc.) Hard Rock - Makes the timing windows tighter and increases HP drain, does not affect Scroll Speed (UNRANKED) Fade-In - Makes the notes appear only at the bottom of your screen, the higher your combo, the less visible the notes become, decreasing the visibility every 100 combo until capping at 500 Hidden - Makes the notes only appear on the upper half of your screen, just like fade in, the higher the combo, the less visibility you have, increasing every 100 combo, capping at 500. Flashlight - Notes are only visible in a small portion of the screen Key Mods - Allows you to change a convert to your desired amount of keys (The moreless keys than the original, the larger the score penalty, DOES NOT WORK ON NON-CONVERTS) Co-Op - Doubles the amount of keys so a friend can play with you (Or if you want to play 10K-18K maps, UNRANKED) Random - Shuffles the notes around to random spots, allowing you to play an essentially new map (UNRANKED) Key SetupPlaystyles OsuMania is unique among the other modes in the sense that it has several different modes inside of it, we refer to these as Keymodes. The only ranked keymodes are 4K-9K, and with these sets of keys that play in very different ways, many varied styles of play are developed. To change your key bindings, simply search for osumania layout in the options menu. With different keymodes, come different skillsets, but some of them transfer over to others. For instance, if you learn 7K, you will be able to pick up 6K or 5K more effectively than if you just started off with them, though you will most likely not be at the same skill level as your 7K ability, you will have a better grasp on your finger independence. ![]() Sprindex: Same as Spread, a combination of Spreads key placement, and Indexs usage of primarily your index fingers.
